Athena was built in 1928. It was used by the Faculty of Medicine until the end of the 1990s. The building was damaged during the major bombing raid of 1944, but it was repaired after the war was over. The building was renovated in the 1960s, but the interior and the facade were restored to its original design in the 2010s. Currently Athena houses the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
